Ronald "Dean" McCormick, 72, of Scott City died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 25, 1938, at Illmo, to Forrest Columbus and Alma Idell O'Guin McCormick.
McCormick was a truck driver 37 years, most recently employed by Jim Irwin Trucking of Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1965, and was a plane captain.
Survivors include two daughters, Deana Brueggeman of Jackson, Amanda (Luke) Aufdenberg of Burfordville; two sons, Jeff McCormick of Arlington, Texas, Mark McCormick of Dallas; a sister, Geraldine Jenkins of Fairview Heights, Ill.; six grandchildren, Hunter Aufdenberg, Keegan Brueggeman, Sarah, Keith, Emily and Daniel McCormick.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Barry Brueggeman; three brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call from noon to service time Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City with full military honors.
