UNITY, Ill. -- Dean Dan Hagler Sr., 88, of Unity, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born May 23, 1907, in Pomona, son of Tom and Phoebe Phillips Hagler. UNITY, Ill. -- Dean Dan Hagler Sr., 88, of Unity, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born May 23, 1907, in Pomona, son of Tom and Phoebe Phillips Hagler.

Hagler was a retired mill foreman with the Bruce Co. near Cairo. He was a member and deacon at Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Vivian Dycus; a son, Dean Hagler Jr. of Tamms, and a sister, Moline Childers of Sikeston, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms after 5 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. John McCaherty and Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
