POPLAR BLUFF -- D.D. "Don" Proctor, 64, died Friday, Feb. 16, 1996, at the Doctor's Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born June 1, 1931, at Rockford, Ill., son of John and Gladys McDowell Proctor. He and Sally Adams were married Sept. 5, 1954, at Jena, La.

Proctor was an account executive with Universal Underwriters until his retirement. He was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge and the Shriner and Gideons International organizations. He also served in the military during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Phillip Proctor of Festus; the Rev. Steve Proctor of Poplar Bluff and the Rev. Daniel Proctor of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a brother, Lou Proctor of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at the Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Keith Carnahan and family members will officiate. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
