Dawn Kay Wright Major, 60, of Cape Girardeau passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 10, 1961, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Ronald and Nila Avery Wright. She and Terry Major were united in marriage on Nov. 10, 1979.
Dawn worked as a self-employed housekeeper and was a member at Cape Community Church of God.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry Major of Cape Girardeau; mother, Nila Wright of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Jessica (James) Thompson, and three grandchildren of Benton, Missouri; sister, Rhonda (Richard) Morris of East Peoria, Illinois; adopted daughter, Latoya Solis, and two grandchildren of Cape Girardeau; two sisters and one brother by marriage, Karen (Danny) Jaimet of Florida, Susan (Kenny) Brown of Illinois and Mark (Barb) Major of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Wright.
Arrangements were under the care of Liley Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau.
