BRIGHTON, Ill. -- David Winchester, 52, of Brighton died Thursday, March 21, 1996, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 10, 1943, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Milford "Windy" Winchester of Arbor, Mo., and Tina Dodd of Hazelwood, Mo. He married Martha Ford on Sept. 10, 1966, in East St. Louis.

Winchester was a manager at National Food Stores for 23 years and was a member of the Bethalto Church of God.

Survivors include his wife; his father and stepmother, Milford and D'Orsay Winchester of Arbor; his mother and stepfather, Tina and Buford Dodd of Hazelwood; two sons, Rouque Winchester of Brighton and Shane Winchester of Collinsville; a daughter, Mikell Winchester of Brighton; a sister, Carolyn Winchester-Becker of Manitou Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Lyn Cloninger officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery.
