David Stephens

STURDIVANT, Mo. -- David B. Stephens, 56, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, as a result of a fire in his home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1947, at Brownwood, Mo. He and Jannett Sneed were married in 1991.

He was a pipefitter and spent most of his life in the Sturdivant and Advance, Mo., communities.

Survivors include his wife of Sturdivant; two sons, Douglas Stephens of Osceola, Ark., and Owen Stephens of the U.S. Air Force; one brother, Doug Stephens of Zalma, Mo.; one sister, Jeannie Pettit of Perkins, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date, with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Mo., in charge of all arrangements.
