David Paul Rouse, 64, of Jackson died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau. Dave joined his parents and friends in heaven.
He was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to George Franklin and Theresa Lynn Kaase Rouse. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1969.
His family started Cape County Private Ambulance Service in 1968. He was a licensed EMT and paramedic. He later became a licensed funeral director. David had been a cook at the Elks Lodge in Jackson, where he was a member.
Survivors include two daughters, Myca T. (Dustin) Smith of Benton, Missouri, Terra L. Rouse of Jackson; a grandson, Devin W. Smith; two brothers, his twin, Donald F. Rouse of Cape Girardeau and Michael T. (Lisa) Rouse, of Jackson.
Anyone who knew Dave will understand why he wanted to do something non-traditional on his passing. Therefore we invite everyone to join us at the Jackson Elks Lodge (lower level banquet room) at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate.
No flowers or memorials. Come as you are and share your life's stories about Dave.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home of Jackson (formerly Cracraft-Miller) is in charge of arrangements.
