COBDEN, Ill. -- David Alan Piper, 40, of Cobden died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, on arrival at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Sept. 11, 1960, in Whitehall, Ill., son of Jerry and Lois Alexander Piper. He and Marcella Graig were married March 21, 1987.
Piper received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Western Illinois University and a master's degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
He was an accountant and computer technician at Twin County Farm Service Co. in Marion, Ill. He was a member of Anna United Methodist Church and had served as trustee and church treasurer.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Olivia and Maria Piper of Cobden; his parents of Roodhouse, Ill.; three brothers, Mike and Bryan Piper of Roodhouse, Jeff Piper of Los Angeles; a sister, Sherry Graham of Roodhouse; and grandmother, Faye Neal of Roodhouse.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Anna United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Sidney Davis and Norman Sloan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
