S. David Patterson, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 23, 1931, at Trask, Mo., son of Harvey Jonas and Vera Leola McGuire Patterson. He and Jo Evelyn Kinder were married Sept. 9, 1949, in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Patterson was president of the former Colonial Savings and Loan 31 years, retiring in 1989. He was past president of Chamber of Commerce, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Cape Down Town Rotary, Greater Cape Development Corp., and past chairman of Cape Girardeau County Chapter of American Red Cross.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from June 15, 1951, to Jan. 14, 1955.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marc and Michele Patterson of Jackson, John and Deborah Patterson of Rowlett, Texas; a daughter, Kelly Faircloth of Cape Girardeau; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Lee Carlson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Florence and Dean McMullen of Carson City, Nev.; five grandchildren, Jesse Patterson, Roxy Patterson, Cole Patterson, Sophia Patterson, and Amber Faircloth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.
There is no visitation or funeral.
