David Parks

CAIRO, Ill. -- David M. Parks, 63, of Cairo died suddenly at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1958, to Guy and Lola McCoy Parks Jr. in Petersburg, Virginia.

David worked for Lowe's in Cape Girardeau, where he made many friends. He previously worked at Med Care as a delivery driver and Bass Sales for many years as a machine worker.

David's family meant the world to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Wesley) Hillebrand; two grandchildren, Landon and Isabell; mother, Lola Parks; brother, Darryl (Angie) Parks; two nieces, Jessica Parks and Nichole (Eric) Bernard; three great-nieces, Jamie, Ava and Sophie; and several other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death was his father, Guy Parks Jr.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date at Olive Branch (Illinois) Cemetery.
