Legendary radio host and disc jockey David Michael Hagedorn, aka Dave Michaels, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 10, 2023. He was born April 6, 1953, to Elmer and Teresa Hagedorn of Cape Girardeau. Dave had a long and exciting career in radio, and as a DJ for KGMO, WPOM, WIRK and, most recently, Uncle Mick's in Jupiter. Legendary radio host and disc jockey David Michael Hagedorn, aka Dave Michaels, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 10, 2023.

He was born April 6, 1953, to Elmer and Teresa Hagedorn of Cape Girardeau.

Dave had a long and exciting career in radio, and as a DJ for KGMO, WPOM, WIRK and, most recently, Uncle Mick's in Jupiter. He enjoyed his career in radio and was voted Best Country DJ in South Florida of "The All Request Show" with WIRK.

Dave was a very devout Christian, very loving and caring, and had that Midwestern personality and charm. He was loved by so many and will truly be missed.

Dave attended St. Mary's and Notre Dame schools and Southeast Missouri State University.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Hagedorn (Ashley) of Stuart, Florida; loving sisters, Carol O'Hayon of Palm Beach Gardens and Diane Johnston (Steve) of Cape Girardeau; nieces, Polly Agee (Bill), Kristyn Taylor (Ryan) and Leah Apyan (Paul); and nephews, Rick Hagedorn (Kim), Ryan Hagedorn (Amy) and Andrew Johnston (Kristy).

Dave was predeceased by his loving parents, Elmer and Teresa Hagedorn; brother-in-law, Joe O'Hayon; and most recently his brothers and their spouses, Richard and Doris Hagedorn and Robert and Susan Hagedorn.

There will be a Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery following Mass.

Donations may be made in Dave's honor to St. Mary's Cathedral or Notre Dame Regional High School.
