David L. Warfield, 80, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 9, 1914, in Natchez, Miss., son of William and Mary Harris Warfield. He married the former Rhoda Riley.
Warfield moved to Bell City in 1922, to Chicago in 1937, and to Cape Girardeau in 1953. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Willie and Bobby Warfield of Chicago, Dennis and James Johnson of Kansas City; two daughters, Mary Brathwaite with the U.S. Air Force in Germany, Brenda Colon of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Clifton Warfield of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Sunday. A service will be held at 7, with Elder William Bird officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Warfield Cemetery in Oran.
Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
