BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for David L. Flowers Sr. of O'Fallon will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Cletus Powell will officiate, with burial in North Antioch Cemetery near here.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.

Flowers, 46 years old, died Sunday, March 10, 1991, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

He was boarn Oct. 17, 1944, in St. Louis, son of Orval and Jane Harper Flowers.

Flowers was employed 19 years by Hussmann Refrigeration Co. in Bridgeton. He was a member of Steel Workers Local 9014, served in the U.S. Air Force, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Emily; two sons, David Sessen of State of Washington, David Flowers Jr. of Granite City, Ill.; five daughters, Diana Roncarti of Monterey, Calif., Ellen and Sharon Flowers of Granite City, Jessica and Amanda Flowers of O'Fallon; his mother of Bloomfield; two stepdaughters, Rachel Campbell and Nichole Jennings of O'Fallon, and four grandchildren.
