David Kinder
David Drew Kinder, 62, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of Andrew and Alma LaGrand Kinder.
David worked alongside his father for years at their family-owned business, formerly known as Kinder Meats and Deli, which was established in 1935. After his father's retirement, David continued the family business as the owner and operator until his retirement in 1988. Dave was an entrepreneur at heart, opening Kinder Fireworks, which he owned and operated 40 years, along with Kinder Christmas Trees, which he opened, owned and operated for approximately 20 years.
Loving survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Dr. Julie Kinder of Cape Girardeau; their daughter, Ella Kinder; a brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Kinder of Mountain Home, Ark.; a niece, Erin Kinder; and two stepchildren, Chris Wheeler and Tammy Silvey of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation or service.
