McCLURE, Ill. -- David E. Johnson, 54, of McClure died Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1967, in Cape Girardeau to Melvin and Myra LaJean Forrester Johnson.
David was a graduate of Shawnee High School.
He was a member of East Cape (Illinois) Baptist Church and a longtime member of the East Cape-McClure Fire Department.
He enjoyed being with friends, Roger Lee Rudluff and Richard Brawley. He also enjoyed being at the farm with Bill, Marty, Drew and Tyler Davis.

David is survived by his brother, Scott (Angie) Johnson of Millersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at noon Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
