David S. Hawk, 74, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Pauls Valley.
He was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Bollinger County, Missouri, to Robert Linus and Naomi Ruth Owens Hawk.
David served in the United States Air Force more than 27 years, retiring in 1986. He earned the rank of chief master sergeant and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He and Nancy Burks were married March 2, 2000, in Gainesville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Linus and Naomi Ruth Hawk; a brother, Robert Michael Hawk, in 1969; and a stepdaughter, Amy Burks Edwards, in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Burks Hawk of the home; a daughter, Tammy Brunner of Kelso, Missouri; two sons, Robert Hawk of Horican, Wisconsin, and Michael Hawk of Madison, Wisconsin; a stepson, Kevin Burks of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Pat Uebelein of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Janice Doll of Pauls Valley; and 10 grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date by the family.
