DAVID HARTLE

BERNIE, Mo. -- David Eugene Hartle, 75, of Corona, Calif., formerly of Bernie, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Pleasant Care in Corona.

He was born on Feb. 21, 1926, at Bernie, the son of Sherman Melvin and Bertha E. Phelps Hartle.

He married Alberta L. Theaubault at Pontiac, Mich. She died in 1964. He later married Marjorie Grace Bartles on Oct. 14, 1967, at Pontiac. She died on July 8, 1995.

He was a delivery man for Retail Furniture Sales in Pontiac before his retirement.

He was a member of the White Oak Grove General Baptist Church near Bernie.

Survivors include two sons, David S. Hartle of Murrieta, Calif., and Lyndon Dean Hartle of Waterford, Mich.; a daughter, Sherry Umlah of Blanchard, Mich.; a sister, Lorene White of Bernie, and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.

The body then will be taken to Huntoon Funeral Chapel in Pontiac where friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Huntoon Chapel.

The Rev. Aaron Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Perry Mount Park Cemetery at Pontiac.
