GIPSY, Mo. -- David Hamlyn, 67, of Gipsy passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 30, 1952, in St. Louis, the son of Harold and Edna Caldwell Hamlyn.
Dave had worked as a painter at Wheeler Steel in Morley, Missouri. He attended Berrong Baptist Church in Gipsy. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
Dave and Mona Buehler were united in marriage Jan. 24, 1997, at Piggott, Arkansas, and she survives of the home.
Survivors include his wife, Mona Hamlyn; daughters, Dana Turner of Cape Girardeau and Angie Huebner of Lake Butler, Florida; sister, Joy (Tony) Avery of Littleton, Colorado; and grandchildren, Clint Fewell, Dusty Tolbert and Shane Huebner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Hamlyn Jr.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dan Overton and LeeRoy Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy.
