SIKESTON -- David E. Conn, Jr., 68, of Wyatt died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Dec. 19, 1926, at Wyatt, son of David E. Conn Sr. and Luella Mary Keene Conn. He and Cordelia Ann Rock were married May 30, 1948.
Conn was co-owner of Conn's Service Station until his retirement. He also was a farmer in Wyatt. He was a member of the Wyatt Board of Alderman and a charter member of the Wyatt Volunteer Fire Department.
He was stationed in the Philippines in World War II and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Conn of Charleston, Richard Conn of Wyatt and Patrick Conn of the home; four daughters, Francine Halter of Atlanta, Theresa Renaud of St. Louis, Margaret Ann Mhoon of Sikeston and Carol Jane Burke of Charleston; a brother, Paul H. Conn of Wyatt; a sister, Thelma Layton of Cairo, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Harold Norton will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
