David Lee DeRousse, 81, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home. He was born Jan. 12, 1942, in Jefferson County, Missouri, son of Roy and Margaret Martin DeRousse. He and Linda Kyle were married Sept. 5, 1970. David grew up in Crystal City, Missouri, and began working as a young man culminating with a career at the railroad. He had a passion for hunting with Tuck DeRousse and fishing with his children. David and Joe "P.J." Schaffer were avid shooting match partners...

David Lee DeRousse, 81, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home.

He was born Jan. 12, 1942, in Jefferson County, Missouri, son of Roy and Margaret Martin DeRousse. He and Linda Kyle were married Sept. 5, 1970.

David grew up in Crystal City, Missouri, and began working as a young man culminating with a career at the railroad. He had a passion for hunting with Tuck DeRousse and fishing with his children. David and Joe "P.J." Schaffer were avid shooting match partners.

Loving survivors include his wife, Linda Lea DeRousse of the home; four children, Harold Wayne "Toodie" (Linda) Watson and Anthony Kyle "Tony" (Kristi) Watson, both of Jackson, Traci Lynn Watson of North Carolina and David Lee (Christina) DeRousse Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Howard and Billie Sloan and Bob Roy DeRousse; a sister, Donna Hall; and a great-grandchild, Quinn Watson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Saint Francis Hospice.

The family would like to thank Saint Francis Hospice for all its care.
