ANNA, Ill. -- David M. Cook, 82, of Anna died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
He was born June 28, 1917, in Benton, Ill., son of Robert and Diana Wilson Cook. He and Mary Helen Adams were married Sept. 27, 1942, in Jackson, Mo.
Cook was a farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cobden and Cobden Masonic Lodge 466 AF&AM. He was formerly of Cobden.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mabel Hill and Neonia Means of Anna; a son, David Cook of Anna; three brothers, Clarence, Robert and Richard Cook, all of Centralia; three sisters, Naoma Walker of Belleville, Alma Walker of Cairo, Geneva Marshall of Centralia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
