GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- David Kinder Conrad, 87, of Glen Allen died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1913, at Dongola, Mo., son of David James and Ida May Kinder Conrad. He and Lilo K. Wagner were married March 25, 1950, in Heppenheim, Germany.
Conrad was a 1933 graduate of Lutesville High School and attended Will Mayfield College.
He had been a carpenter, construction worker and farmer. He served on the Woodland School Board from approximately 1969-81. He was a member of Lutesville Presbyterian Church, German Club of Southeast Missouri and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had lived at Glen Allen 40 years.
Conrad served in the European Theater during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Barbara Boyer of Grassy, Mo., Diane Holzum of Glen Allen, Margaret Schlief of Marble Hill, Mo., Susana Horinka of Burnt Hills, N.Y.; a son, David Conrad of Marble Hill; two sisters, Frances Rejniak of Waterville, Wash., Lucille Seabaugh of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Whitehouse officiating. Burial will be in Marble Hill Cemetery.
