David Carl Cockrell, 64, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1954, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Arnold T. and Alta Mae Judd Cockrell.
David graduated from Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois. He worked in waste management in Ohio, construction in Cape Girardeau and for the railroad laying tracks in Indiana.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ashley (Gregory) Kinnel of Columbus, Ohio, and Maegan (Stephen) Smith of Columbus; three sisters, Nancy (Tom) McEntee of Rochester, New York, Cheryl (Barry) Lackey of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Donna Jackson of Terre Haute, Indiana; one brother, Tom (Joann) Cockrell of Marble Hill, Missouri; five grandchildren, Keller, Spencer, Layne, Avery and Benjamin; and significant other, Terri Johnson of Cape Girardeau.
There will be no services, according to David's wishes.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
