David Lee Bolen, 62, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri. He was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of William "Bill" and Juanita Black Bolen. David was a graduate of Jackson High School, where he participated in wrestling. He entered the U.S. Army March 13, 1981, and was honorably discharged March 3, 1984...

David Lee Bolen, 62, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri.

He was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of William "Bill" and Juanita Black Bolen.

David was a graduate of Jackson High School, where he participated in wrestling. He entered the U.S. Army March 13, 1981, and was honorably discharged March 3, 1984.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Miller of Oak Ridge and Katlyn (Jamin) Schippers of Cape Girardeau; mother, Juanita Bolen of Jackson; four brothers, John (Diane) Bolen of Oak Ridge, Steve (Laurie) Bolen of Friedheim, Kevin (the late Terri) Bolen of Jackson and Mike (Sandy) Bolen of Jackson; sister, Debbie (Roger) Niswonger of Altenburg, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Aleigh, Emma and Blakesly Miller of Oak Ridge and Kimber, Zion, Bellarose and Moses Schippers of Cape Girardeau, and expected grandbaby, Anya; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father and niece, Lori.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
