Darryl Nicholson

TAMMS, Ill. -- Darryl Nicholson, 23, of Tamms died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, in rural Pulaski County.

He was born April 15, 1981, in Cairo, Ill., son of Joseph Nicholson and Gloria Cross.

Nicholson was a graduate of Egyptian High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice science from Illinois State University at Normal. He was recently hired as a nuclear security officer for Wackenhut Corp. in Cordova, Ill.

Survivors include his parents of Sandusky, Ill.; a brother, Joseph Wilkins of Tamms; a sister, Angie Nicholson; grandparents, Hattie Nicholson of Sandusky and Delois Chappell of Villa Ridge, Ill.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Ill., with the Rev. Edward Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
