JONESBORO, Ill. -- Darrell Ray Sims, 38, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 23, 1961, at Murphysboro, son of Karroll Gene and Lena Mae Clutts Sims. He and Barbara Simmerman were married May 7, 1980, at Grand Tower.
Sims worked as a mechanic for Carter Tire and also worked in Home Care Medical Supply. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Club and attended the First Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Tonya Ury of Anna and Brandy and April Sims, both of the home; a son, Derick Sims of the home; a grandson; his parents of Balcom; a brother, Bill Sims of Cobden; three sisters, Brenda Bennett and Darla Flemming, both of Anna, and Rhonda Ford of Jonesboro.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Services at Jonesboro.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery.
