Darlene Hudson Johnson, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Southeast Hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Little Dixie, Ark., to Turner Hudson and Hosanna Valentine. Survivors include four children, Naomi Johnson, Delores Wright, Isaac Johnson and James (Eloise) Hudson, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Johnson; 16 grandchildren, Kristina, Roshanda, Alexis, Jonathan Jr., David, William, Lakeisha, Michael, Krista and Isaac Johnson III, Carmelia Hudson, Cedrick, Letisha and Derrick Rucker, Joshua and Shalitha Saunders; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her cat, Smokie.. ...

Darlene Hudson Johnson, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Little Dixie, Ark., to Turner Hudson and Hosanna Valentine.

Survivors include four children, Naomi Johnson, Delores Wright, Isaac Johnson and James (Eloise) Hudson, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Johnson; 16 grandchildren, Kristina, Roshanda, Alexis, Jonathan Jr., David, William, Lakeisha, Michael, Krista and Isaac Johnson III, Carmelia Hudson, Cedrick, Letisha and Derrick Rucker, Joshua and Shalitha Saunders; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her cat, Smokie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Johnson Sr.; two sons, Jonathan and David Johnson.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lorimier Cemetery.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
