Danny Ray Bowers, 59, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Danny Ray Bowers, 59, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 19, 1963, in Cape Girardeau to Grover Jack and Mary Mungle Bowers. His father passed away Sept. 30, 2016.

Danny was a 1983 graduate of Jackson High School. He and Martha Jones were married Nov. 16, 1990, in Jackson.

Danny and Martha both worked many years at Rubbermaid in Jackson. Danny had worked at Rubbermaid nearly 24 years when he was tragically diagnosed with early onset dementia and had to leave the work force.

Danny enjoyed restoring cars, walking the dogs and going to car shows. When he became disabled and stayed home, he liked to watch "The Price is Right" and "The Bold and the Beautiful".

Loving survivors include his wife of 32 years, Martha Bowers of Jackson; two children, Daniel Ray Bowers of Altenburg, Missouri, and Danelle Bowers of New York City; his mother, Mary Bowers of Jackson; and two brothers, Randy Bowers of Whitewater and Bradley Bowers of Jackson.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday, April 21, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Ronnie Brown will conduct the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 21, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Missouri Pets.
