CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dannie Dees was born April 7, 1950, and left this world Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018.
His parents were Opal and Leon "Frog" Kiefer.
As a young adult, Dannie raised and trained American Kennel Club-registered beagles and was a member of the SEMO Beagle Club.
He helped raise two daughters and very much enjoyed coaching and watching them compete in athletic events. He was blessed with four granddaughters (Mattison, Anna, Georgia and Paige), all of whom he enjoyed watching compete as well.
Throughout his life, he has enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads and antiques.
He is survived by his mother, Opal Kiefer of Chaffee; two daughters, Misty (Philip) Wilhite and Ginger (Eric) Hanselman of Chaffee; four grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (Richard) Walther of Fruitland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Kiefer.
The family is honoring his wishes and will have a private family gathering at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chaffee High School Booster Club or Eagle Ridge Christian School Scholarship Fund in his honor.
