Danielle Jones

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Danielle S. Jones, 34, of Oshkosh passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017.

She was born April 16, 1982, in Cape Girardeau to Alan and Kathy Lix Jones.

Danielle attended the Jackson Public Schools until her family relocated to Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 2000 and from Michigan Technological University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in scientific and technical communication. Danielle also graduated from Central Missouri State University in 2006 with a Master's of Science for student personnel administration. She studied abroad in Aix En Provence, France, in 2003.

After college, she worked seven years at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania as assistant director of residential services. She then moved to University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as program adviser for diversity and inclusion. Most recently, she was assistant dean of students at UW-Oshkosh. Danielle was certified and an active instructor for Zumba and aerobics since the early days of college.

Danielle made every day count. She lived life to the fullest and had purpose and passion in everything she did. Danielle had tremendous compassion for all people. She valued education for all. Danielle loved to experience new culture and meet new people. She was organized, creative and confident in everything she went after. She put her heart in everything she did for her family and had warm, close relationships with all. Danielle spent countless hours creating the family tree and many, many books for the family.

She is survived by her parents, Alan and Kathy Jones of Green Bay; brother and sister-in-law, Ryan (Nikki) Jones of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; grandparents, Dean and Sue Jones of Jackson and Geroid A. Lix of Jackson; uncles, Mike (Debbie) Lix and Chris Lix; aunt, Dana (Patrick) Norris; godparents, Tim and Barb Schwane; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Danielle was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ella Marie Goetz Lix.

Visitation and funeral were held Saturday at Lyndahl Funeral Home in Green Bay. Committal followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Danielle's memory. Contributions may be sent to Alan and Kathy Jones at 1542 Fox Court, Green Bay, WI 54313.
