Daniel Arthur Schemel, 60, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1947, in New Kensington, Pa., son of Lloyd E. and Anna M. (Hafley) Schemel.
Schemel served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed carpet layer.
Survivors include a brother, Randy W. Schemel of Cape Gir-ardeau; and three sisters, Barbara J. Blackler of Hannibal, Mo., Donna M. Bailey of Willisville, Ill., and Joyce E. Hale of Thebes, Ill.; 11 nieces, 5 nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmy Monahan officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
