SPAULDING, Ill. -- Daniel John Lauck, 76, of Spaulding died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at his home.
Daniel was born Feb. 18, 1941, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Anthony Joseph and Frances Elaine Jones Lauck.
He was self-employed and was a mechanical and automotive enthusiast.
He was best known for riding on his Cub Cadet mower.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Opal V. Walls; and brother-in-law, John Howard.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Howard of Deland, Florida; nephews, Scott (Patty) Howard, Curtis (Kim) Howard and Randy (Jody) Howard; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, in Springfield, Illinois.
A graveside ceremony will be held at noon Monday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
