WHITEWATER -- Daniel Frank Jones, 91, formerly of Whitewater, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 1994 at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 4, 1903 at Crump, the son of Joseph and Mary Jones.
On Nov. 28, 1926, he married Geraldine Wilson in Cairo, Ill. She preceded him in death May 14, 1989.
He was a rural mail carrier for 43 years in the Whitewater area and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association. Jones was a charter member of the Whitewater Masonic Lodge, past worshipful master and received a 50-year pin. He was also a charter member of the Whitewater Easter Star and was past patron.
He is survived by one daughter, Marceline Butler, Whitewater; and granddaughter, Teresa Glasser, Whitewater; and three great-granddaughters.
Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
