SCOTT CITY -- Dallas Ray Kinder, 62, of Scott City died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Advance, son of Eugene Bernard and Vivian Marie Winemiller Kinder. He and Susie Wheeler were married Oct. 26, 1985. Kinder had been a professional carpet installer for Hutson Furniture in Cape Girardeau, was a partner in B and K Carpet, drove a bus for Scott City Schools, and later was a driver with Scott County Transit System...

SCOTT CITY -- Dallas Ray Kinder, 62, of Scott City died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Advance, son of Eugene Bernard and Vivian Marie Winemiller Kinder. He and Susie Wheeler were married Oct. 26, 1985.

Kinder had been a professional carpet installer for Hutson Furniture in Cape Girardeau, was a partner in B and K Carpet, drove a bus for Scott City Schools, and later was a driver with Scott County Transit System.

He was a member of New Life Congregational Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Glenn Kinder of Scott City; two daughters, Dianna Jacobs of Patton, Kimberly Centers of Middletown, Ohio; a stepson, Tim Simmons of San Diego, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Kim Petitt of Scott City; his mother of Scott City; a sister, Sue Brockmeyer of Scott City; four grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
