CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dale Seabaugh, 90, of Coweta, Okla., formerly of Chaffee, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his daughter's home in Coweta. He was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Zalma, Mo., to Vincent Earl and Bertha Alfreda Abernathy Seabaugh. He and Mable Dehart were married Aug. 10, 1946. He later married Margaret Guy on Feb. 27, 1960. She preceded him in death Dec. 24, 1989...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dale Seabaugh, 90, of Coweta, Okla., formerly of Chaffee, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his daughter's home in Coweta.

He was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Zalma, Mo., to Vincent Earl and Bertha Alfreda Abernathy Seabaugh. He and Mable Dehart were married Aug. 10, 1946. He later married Margaret Guy on Feb. 27, 1960. She preceded him in death Dec. 24, 1989.

Dale was self-employed in building houses before working as a rock crusher machine operator and security guard at St. Joe Mining Co. in Viburnum, Mo.

He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II from October 1942 to October 1945.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Boddy of Coweta; eight grandchildren, Rochelle Henderson of Pearland, Texas, Beth Pool of Coweta, Kari Gaskill of Millersville, Courtney Kennedy of Oak Ridge, Chasity Dibert of Whitewater, Colton Seabaugh of Florida, Chelsea Seabaugh of California, Klanci Seabaugh of Florida; a sister, Elnora Lee of Chaffee; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Leslie "Scooter" Seabaugh; two brothers, Eldred and Joel Seabaugh; two sisters, Ila Vehrs and Coleta Shelton.

Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Burt Croy officiating.
