OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Dale Eugene Poole, 75, of Olive Branch died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at his home. He was born July 15, 1941, in Olive Branch to George and Lorraine Mansfield Poole. Dale was a hard worker and could do many things. He had worked throughout his life as a coal miner and welder, and also had worked for the U.S. Postal Service. OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Dale Eugene Poole, 75, of Olive Branch died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1941, in Olive Branch to George and Lorraine Mansfield Poole.

Dale was a hard worker and could do many things. He had worked throughout his life as a coal miner and welder, and also had worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed being outdoors and was skilled at wood working.

He is survived by fiancee Mary Kerr; two sons, Tony (Brenda) Poole and Clint (Jessica) Poole; a daughter, Rachel Poole; four grandchildren, Andrew, Max and Parker Poole and Tyler Worthen; a sister, Sandy (Wilbur) Bedwell; two nephews, Roger and Doug Poole; two nieces, Kim Bedwell and Tammy Bass; other relatives; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Poole.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Clifton officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.
