JACKSON -- Dale Marks, 61, of Jackson, died Wednesday, April 19, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Delaware, Ohio, son of Herbert and Lura Patrick Marks. He and Maxine Trimble were married Sept. 14, 1956.
Marks moved to Jackson in 1968 from Cheboygan, Mich. He was employed at Procter & Gamble 32 years, retiring in 1988 from the inventory control department.
He was a member and past chairman of the deacons at First Baptist Church. He also taught junior high Sunday School several years, and was a member of the choir. He served in the U.S. Army in 1954-55.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Beverly Prater and Brenda Williams of Jackson; his mother, Lura Dorgavell of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Patricia Russell of Lexington, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Rodney Travis and Bill Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
