MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dale Eugene Long Sr., 46, of Marble Hill passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born on Sept. 16, 1966, at Lutesville, Mo., he was the son of Junior Lee and Linda Lizenbee Long.

He graduated from Woodland High School in 1985. On Dec. 16, 1988, he married Elizabeth Ann Kirkpatrick in Marble Hill. She survives.

He was a member of Lutesville General Baptist Church in Marble Hill, and worked for Roark Wood Products.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, a son, Dale E. Long Jr., and a daughter, Jessikah (Devon) Beard, both of Marble Hill; his parents, Junior and Linda Long of Marble Hill; his parents-in-law, Bob and Sandra Schwartz of Marble Hill; a sister, Deborah Basham of Marble Hill; two nieces, Rebekah Childers and Rachel Basham; a nephew, David McFarlin; and a great-nephew, Zachary Childers.

A sister, Beverly McFarlin, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Donnie Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenallen Cemetery in Glenallen, Mo.
