Dale A. Hecht, 73, of Jackson passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 16, 1943, in Altenburg, Missouri, son of Benjamin and Olga Pilz Hecht. He and Sharon Tripp were married March 3, 2001.
Dale was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills, where he served in many capacities.
He owned and operated D & T Trucking for several years. Dale retired in 2015 after 45 years of truck driving. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Loving survivors include his wife, Sharon Hecht of Jackson; two sons, Tim (Bridget) Hecht of Cape Girardeau and Tom (Ruth) Hecht of Waynoka, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters, Christine Fadler (fiancé, Charles Mosebach) of Cape Girardeau and Kimberly (Chris) Steiger of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Henderson of St. Louis and Karen Woltemath in Atkins, Iowa; an aunt, Nellie Starzinger of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bob, Don and Ronnie Hecht.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
