Dale Willard Fronabarger, 92, of Oak Ridge died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
He was born Jan. 18, 1915, in Oak Ridge, son of Albert Marion and Shrilda Catherine Sawyer Fronabarger. He and Verda Lou Phelps were married Dec. 24, 1939. She died Jan. 1, 2004.
Fronabarger was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He was a farmer and surveyed land for U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
He served on Oak Ridge School Board several years. He was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge.
Survivors include a son, Dale Wesley (Eileen) Fronabarger of Jackson; a daughter, Mary Lou (Kenny) Abernathy of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Mary Dale (Pete) Fronabarger of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Paul, and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jon Sedgwick and the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Old Goshen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge or Goshen Cemetery.
