SIKESTON, Mo. -- Albrie "Dale" Forrest, 49, of Sikeston died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1955, at Sikeston, son of Benson and Geneve Dufer Forrest. He and Betty Sue Brewer were married Feb. 14, 1999, at Sikeston.
Forrest was a self-employed car buyer, car salesman and painter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong resident of Sikeston and a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; a son, Michael Carter of Haslet, Texas; two stepsons, the Rev. Terry True of Trussville, Ala., Dale True of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Leah Bower of Christchurch, New Zealand; a brother, Benson "Joe" Forrest of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Toleitha Campbell and Angela Sloan of Sikeston; a grandson; and five stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Kelly Grubbs and Jim Hoydt officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., with military rites by the Missouri Military Honors Program.
