CAIRO, Ill. -- Daisy Mae Huff, 73, of Cairo died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Clarksdale, Miss., son of John Henry and Willie Ray Davis Crites. She and Raymond Huff Sr. were married March 10, 1953.
Survivors include eight sons, Raymond Jr., Michael and James Huff of Cairo, Edward Huff of Kankakee, Ill., Mitchell Huff of Memphis, Tenn., Donald Huff of Cahokia, Ill., Lawrence and Bryan Huff of Bloomington, Ill.; six daughters, Janice Burris of Cairo, Carol Garrett of Memphis, Patricia Robertson and Kathy Huff of Murphysboro, Ill., Regina Wood of Bloomington and Koree Teal of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Also two brothers, James Crites of Bloomington, Charles Crites of Chicago; two sisters, Geraldine Royston and Bernice McCleton of Chicago; 56 grandchildren; and 63 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Ill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mound City National Cemetery, with Larry Barnett Sr. officiating.
