DAFTON GRIFFIN

SIKESTON -- Dafton Griffin, 72, of Sikeston died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born July 23, 1926, in Watts, Ark., son of Sam and Minnie Griffin. He and the former Willalee Griffin were married Dec. 8, 1954, in Marshall, Ark.

Griffin had worked on the Layton Hubbard Farm. He was a member of the House of Prayer General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sharon Griffin of Sikeston; and a brother, Douglas Griffin of state of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m. Monday.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Burns officiating.
