ANNA, Ill. -- Cyril R. Schaefer, 76, of Anna died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1926, at Wolf Lake, Ill., son of Raymond and Lena Markert Schaefer. He and Gloria Kimmel were married Jan. 20, 1951, at Anna.
Schaefer was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Anna Moose Lodge 1346.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick Schaefer of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Randy Schaefer of Jonesboro, Ill.; his mother of Anna; three brothers, Eugene Schaefer of Anna, Carrol Schaefer of Cape Girardeau, Jim Schaefer of Jonesboro; a sister, Ellen Sergeant of Lebo, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 7 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 6:30.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
