Surrounded by her family, Cyrethia L. Hamlett, 63, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at her mother's home in Jackson.
She was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Richard O. and Barbara F. Newman Taul Sr. She and Ronald Hamlett were married November 1983. He passed away Sept. 15, 2005.
Cyrethia was a certified nursing assistant, working in the Jefferson County (Missouri) area. She then lived many years in Carson City, Nevada. After Ron passed away, she moved to Jackson to be near her family.
Loving survivors include her mother, Barbara Taul of Jackson; sister, Ruth Ann Barbato of House Springs, Missouri; a stepson, Harley Hamlett of St. Louis; her cumpa', Evon Crosno of Jackson; her beloved canine companion, Meha; several maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeron Eric Hamlett (1999); her father, Richard Taul,Sr. (2016); and her brother, Richard O. Taul Jr. (2014).
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Hospice.
