DONGOLA, Ill. -- Cynthia Roe, 74, of Madison, Ill. and formerly of Dongola died Saturday, March 7, 1992, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City.
She was born Jan. 17, 1918, at Elco, the daughter of Ernest and Cora Smith Provo.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Kesler of Wood River, Everett Roe of Collinsville, Perry Roe of Rockford, and Larry Roe of Chicago; a daughter, Loretta Roe of Dongola; two sisters, Vivian Benton of Loves Park and Hazel Lingle of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Wardell Provo of Cahokia; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Robert Goins will officiate, and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
