Funeral service for Cynthia Sue "Susie" Owens of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Don Ford will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Owens, 51, died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 16, 1945, in Springfield, daughter of Charles Ivan and Mary Virginia Yates Owens.

Owens was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and former church secretary.

Survivors include her mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, William Owens of Cuba, Mo.; and a half sister, Virginia Schobey of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
