ZALMA, Mo. -- Curtis L. Speer, 82, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, May 3, 2004, in Paris.

He was born Jan. 8, 1922, at Zalma, son of Willie and Mandy Eaker Speer. He and Bobbie L. Dulaney were married March 22, 1946.

Speer had been a general supervisor at Emerson Electric Co.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Curtis Speer of Zalma; two daughters, Shirley Campbell of Advance, Martha Kelam of St. Louis; two sisters, Lola Dunn of Zalma, Juanita Holloman of St. Louis; four grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Speer Cemetery near Zalma.
