MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Curtis Lonnie Myers, 74, of Marble Hill passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on June 14, 1941, in Marble Hill, the son of Charles Marvin and Lula Myrtle Brown Myers. Lonnie and Connie Elizabeth Hennecke were united in marriage Nov. 26, 1966, and she passed away March 7, 2013.
Lonnie retired as a high-school counselor, teacher and coach and was a school bus driver for Woodland School District. He was a member of the Southern Oaks Country Club in Fredericktown, Missouri, and the Marble Hill Methodist Church. He was a Mason. Survivors include his son, Tim (LaDonna) Myers of Marble Hill; a daughter, Tracee (Michael) Houston of Marble Hill; three brothers, Wilburn Myers of Blanket, Texas, Terry Myers of Marble Hill and Robert Myers of Whitewater; and a grandson, Zachary Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; parents; brothers Michael, Elza, James, the Rev. Loyd and Carl Myers; and sisters, Edna Brawley, Loretta Myers and Alta Eaker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Hargrave officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
