SIKESTON, Mo. -- Curt Evans Jr., 57, of Sikeston died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Delmar, Ala., son of Alfred Curtis Sr. and Ina Mae Byrd Evans.
He and Grace Elaine Cole were married July 8, 1967, in Sikeston.
For 33 years he was an oven operator for Bunny Bread.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Allen Byrd of Portland, Ore., and Steven Wayne Evans of Sikeston; a daughter, Melissa Gail Evans of Sikeston; five brothers, Jack, Bobby and Terry Evans of Sikeston, Travis Evans of Kopeli, Hawaii, and Larry Evans of Wilemina, Ore.; three sisters, Ruby Starks of St. Louis, Carolyn Evans and Jackie Day of Sikeston; and one grandson.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Curtis True officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.
